Alternanthera Reineckii Mini

Alternanthera Reineckii 'Mini' is a compact, vibrant red stem plant that has become a favorite among aquascapers for its intense coloration and small growth habit. Unlike the standard variety, this dwarf cultivar stays shorter and bushier, making it ideal for the foreground to midground of planted aquariums.
Its rich red to burgundy leaves provide stunning contrast against green plants and hardscape, making it an excellent accent plant in Dutch-style, Iwagumi, and nature aquascapes. Under medium to high lighting, nutrient-rich water, and CO₂ supplementation, AR Mini develops its deepest red coloration and dense, compact growth. Regular trimming encourages new side shoots, creating a lush carpet-like bush.
Although it requires a bit more care than beginner plants, Alternanthera Reineckii 'Mini' rewards hobbyists with one of the most striking displays of color available in freshwater aquariums.
