Mayaca fluviatilis, commonly known as Bog Moss, is a delicate and elegant stem plant prized for its soft, feathery foliage and vibrant light green coloration. Its fine needle-like leaves create a lush, cloud-like appearance that adds exceptional texture and depth to planted aquariums.

This beautiful stem plant is ideal for the midground or background, where groups of stems form dense, flowing bushes that contrast beautifully with broad-leaf plants and hardscape. Under medium to high lighting, nutrient-rich water, and CO₂ supplementation, Mayaca fluviatilis develops compact growth and its healthiest appearance. Regular trimming encourages branching, resulting in fuller, more vibrant clusters.

Although it requires stable conditions to thrive, Mayaca fluviatilis rewards aquascapers with one of the softest and most elegant textures available in the aquarium hobby.
